Another view of Reid-Romney dustup

Markos Moulitsas, the founder of DailyKOS, has a somewhat different take than I did on U.S. Sen. Harry Reid‘s show-us-your-papers approach to Mitt Romney‘s taxes.

I read it earlier, even as they like him they call his stunt gutter level. But Prof Green popped out Esquire that basically states Reid has nothing to lose and nationalmemo that basically points out something you also acknowledge, Reid’s critics have no way of knowing if he made it up.

None of this in any way makes it right. You are correct from the beginning that lowering oneself to the level of ones opponent is simply wrong.

Stick to your guns, Reid may have deflected some of the attention Obama could not deflect on his own but that does not make Reid correct. Once again this proves just what kind of person Harry Reid is.

In fact Reid may have just helped the Republicans take the Senate back and Obama is not losing the White House, which I have been saying for well over a year. Reid’s actions are all for naught and he is hurting Nevada in the process. No matter how much the liberal pundits like him for it.

  2. The American election process has becoming a “blood sport” recently (no no longer just a contact sport). All is fair in a war and hand to hand combat…(unfortunately !). Didn’t Packers great coach Vince Lombardi once said “Winning is not everything; it’s THE ONLY THING …”

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has scurrilously attacked Candidate Mitt Romney with what is now widely recognized as a lie and often called “a dirty lie.” Politically he has damaged the office he holds as well as his own character ; all in pursuit of keeping political power. At least, when selling his soul, Richard Rich secured higher office and the King’s favor.

Now Harry can be viewed as possessing the very same characteristics as Joe Paterno. Both once icons of power and prestige with presumed virtue and values. Today Harry and Joe have the same reputation and credibility. To be generous, perhaps this is just the early onset of senility? If so, Harry should resign with a semblance of dignity; if not, Harry should resign in disgrace.

Senator Reid has attacked and slandered no one. If you’re a U.S. Senator and someone from Bain gave you this information; what would you do? What are your responsibilities? What if you were a Republican Senator? This all comes down to the one question you have to answer: Why should the Senator have hidden this obviously important information that was given him?
